What is POUNDCAKE?

A tasty cake made from a pound each of flour, sugar, butter, and eggs? Yes. Was it a favorite of Elvis'? Yes again. (Check out pics of him from around '76 for proof).

However, it’s also a band of six professional musicians whose passion is playing great music. No hip-hop, polka standards, or gregorian chants. Just great music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and more, including rock, classic soul, motown, dance, and country. The kind of band that makes everyone wish the party would never stop.

Having played around the metro area for over 6 years, POUNDCAKE has played a wide variety of gigs including opening for acts like David Cassidy, Davy Jones of the Monkees, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, the Fourth of July at Lenox Square (for over 200,000 people!), the Gwinnett County Fair, and many other events as well as private parties.

So get ready to have a good time and dance the night away, because it ain't a party without POUNDCAKE!
